In response to the expansion and impact of this technology, Barcelona Activa has launched a series of educational programmes to prepare citizens and companies in the practical use of Artificial Intelligence

In the last six months, Barcelona Activa has trained almost 3,000 people in the use of AI for job search, including topics such as preparing for virtual interviews or optimising CVs using advanced technologies. Furthermore, companies receive support regarding the use of automated tools for filtering candidacies and virtual interviews.
The Cibernàrium offers more than 120 hours of quarterly updated courses on the latest trends in AI. Training covers areas such as marketing, communication, cyber security, programming, design and ethics in AI, with both onsite and virtual options.
Furthermore, the IT Academy has launched a new course in AI applied to business. This upskilling program combines master classes and individual mentoring focused on the practical application of AI in the business field. It also encourages the creation of startups that use AI in sectors such as health, medicine and services. This new course is available online and has an estimated duration of 9 weeks. As part of its strategy, Barcelona City Council positions itself as a global AI HUB, seeking to attract foreign talent and investment to diversify the local economy.
