Barcelona City Council, through the municipal agency Barcelona Activa, has announced a new edition of the Activa Autòno+ subsidies programme with the aim of supporting the city's new self-employed. These grants, of up to €4,000, aim to ease the initial expenses faced by the self-employed during their first year of activity.

All those people who have started a new economic activity since 6^th September, 2022, who are self-employed or members of associated work cooperatives, and who meet the requirements, such as being registered for tax in the city ​​of Barcelona and are aware of their tax obligations.

To apply for the subsidy, interested persons must fill in the form and present the justified documentation of the expenses they wish to cover with the subsidy, such as Social Security, the rent of premises or coworking space, the energy consumption, taxes or fees for management and advice. Priority in the awarding of grants will be determined by registration order.
