Today, 28th June 28, is the International LGBTIQ+ Pride Day and Barcelona City Council and Barcelona Activa are joining the vindications in defence of the group's rights and freedoms. The agency maintains its commitment to equal opportunities and non-discrimination on the basis of sex, sexual and gender diversity. 

During the months of June and July, an extensive programme of activities has been launched in all the neighbourhoods of the city. Artistic, festive and cultural proposals that form part of the campaign Orgull Barcelona (Barcelona Pride) which aims to make the city a pioneer in the defence of rights to diversity and gender and the freedoms of citizenship. 

Barcelona Activa will join in by holding the event  Think Plus: Formació i gestió de la diversitat LGTBIQ+ a l’empresa (Think Plus: Training and management of LGBTIQ+ diversity in companies). The event will take place on 10th July and will focus on getting to know the importance and benefits of dealing with diversity in organisations. The day will be accompanied by musical performances by Suu and DJ Luc Loren. 

In addition to the activities, the agency has also promoted the Action Plan for the internal management of sexual and gender diversity 2023-2026. The initiative will be accompanied by other specific measures that seek to make real and effective equality possible for LGBTIQ+ people in all the actions of Barcelona Activa.
